Four students from each classroom in 4th grade are elected by their peers to serve as Student Council Representatives. Fourth grade students may campaign for these elected seats. The Council meets, under the direction of the principal, a teacher or other parent volunteers, about twice per month, during lunch. Being a member of the Council provides students the opportunity to learn about the student government while participating in the process of initiating, organizing and implementing activities such as recycling drives, Earth Day activities, clothing drives, clean-up days, etc. The Council also works together to solve problems that may arise.
